PostgreSQL and multiple-server support brings Dawn to the enterprise
If your website runs across multiple servers or uses PostgreSQL as its database, Dawn™ can now support your environment! This week we’re excited to release a major update to Dawn. Previously Dawn could only monitor a website if it ran on a single server.
SilverStripe at the bottom of the sea with NIWA
Not knowing what your natural resources are is a risk for any country, and not all resources can be found on land. 96% of all New Zealand territory is under water, and only 13% of that is mapped.
Free the software, free the world
As an open source company, it was a natural fit for us here at SilverStripe to take part in Software Freedom Day on September 19.

Summer of Code meet up!
This week we have been most grateful to the Google Open Source office who are with us in Portland, USA. Leslie has shown me what a great laugh she and the Google team is... thanks for the T-Shirts, dinner and great conversation!
OSCON Birds of a Feather presentation
A small but very interested crowd, including our Summer of Code student Will Scott, turned up to our evening OSCON session to learn about New Zealand, SilverStripe and our progress with Google Summer of Code. You can download a PDF of the presentation (2mb).
Ending rails envy in PHP5
We're excited to announce that Sam Minnee, SilverStripe's CTO and the architect behind our framework has been invited to speak at the OSCON software conference next week in Portland, on "Ending Rails Envy in PHP5":
