Auckland office jobs:
Web Designer (Auckland)
This is a role in a new, growing team and as such we want someone with a broad base of skills. We need a web designer with solid front-end skills.
On the design front, we’re looking for an excellent visual designer who can create appealing web design concepts as well as translate brands to the web. Experience in building modern HTML/CSS is also essential.
Some knowledge of JavaScript and SilverStripe templating is a plus. You will be responsible for designing concepts and templates, and then creating semantic HTML seasoned with cutting edge CSS3 and jQuery, and finally working with developers to create and update SilverStripe templates to plug into the finest back-end code.
We want people who will thrive in a fast-paced environment, using Agile techniques to work with clients and colleagues to create amazing websites that make the organisations we work with a little better, every day.
Here are the specifics of what we're after:
Mandatory
------------
- 3+ years web design experience
- Excellent skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent CSS/HTML abilities and web standards knowledge
- A wonderful sense of visual or interaction design
- Ability and willingness to stun clients with your awesome design-fu
- Great communication skills
- Willingness to work full-time out of our office in Auckland CBD (sorry, no telecommuting)
- An impressive online portfolio that makes us sit up and say "Damn, that's good!"
Desired
---------
- If you have experience integrating your designs into web systems like SilverStripe, Drupal, Ruby on Rails, or Wordpress that would be helpful
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Javascript development experience (JQuery experience is preferable)

ScrumMaster (Auckland)

The ability to lead without being “the Manager” is the ultimate challenge for any ScrumMaster.

PHP Developer (Auckland)
If you want to build world-class web applications, show the naysayers that high-quality software can be written in PHP and work on open source software as part of your day job, then we want to talk to you!
This is a key role; you'll be working on some leading-edge websites, and you'll have the chance to contribute to our core open source SilverStripe Framework and CMS. We're looking for someone who is excellent in PHP but willing to dive in to Python, JavaScript, or other languages with diligence and eagerness. Ideally, you will also have TDD and strong OO design skills.
We want someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment, using Agile techniques to work with clients/colleagues to create fresh web goodness.
Here are the specifics of what we're after:
Mandatory

- 3+ years PHP development experience, including experience with PHP’s object-oriented features
- Experience in design and implementation of system architectures
- Development (not user) experience with at least one content management, wiki, or blogging system
- Desire to contribute to the SilverStripe core technology
- Ability and willingness to work with clients?
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to deliver quality code within tight deadlines
- Willingness to work full-time out of our office in Auckland CBD
Desired
----------
- Excellent CSS or HTML abilities
- Experience with our SilverStripe Framework or CMS. If not, experience with Symfony, CakePHP, Rails, or Django would also be helpful
- Experience being a part of Agile projects, particularly Scrum projects
- Javascript development experience, particularly jQuery experience
